Hot oil: when and why I integrate it into a session
Hot oil is not a technique you book on its own. It is a medium: it supports glide and the comfort of touch when I judge it useful.
What hot oil is in my practice
Oil prepared to a comfortable temperature supports the glide of the hands and the quality of contact.
I already use it, for example, in sessions where the rhythm and comfort of touch call for it — including Lymphatic Drainage.
What it can bring to the body
Without promising a result, warmth can accompany a sense of comfort and ease ample movements.
It does not define the session on its own. The person and listening come before the medium.
When I may integrate it
I may choose hot oil when comfortable glide and a gentle temperature seem suitable after the initial exchange.
That can concern a Sports Massage or Lymphatic Drainage session. You do not book “hot oil” as a product.
Contraindications and precautions
Tell me about any skin sensitivity, known oil allergy or anything that concerns your thermal comfort.
Temperature stays controlled for comfort. If hot oil is not suitable, I use another approach.
In summary
This is not a separate treatment. It is one of the tools I may integrate into your session, if I judge it appropriate after listening to and observing you. You do not have to choose: that is my work.
